PLUMBING: AN IMPORTANT ART OF WATER

Plumbing is a process under which one first controls the water disturbance or sanitary issues and then fixes them. The word derives from the Latin for lead, plumbum, as the first effective pipes used in the Roman era were lead pipes. It includes basic laws of nature – gravity, pressure and water. Plumbing includes all of the water supply and water waste lines. When the home's foundation is built, a plumber runs a supply line from the street through the foundation wall or the slab. From that point, they run the lines that supply water to the home to rooms where sinks, bathtubs, showers and other fixtures will be installed.

In a plumbing emergency, it's vital that you quickly close the main valve. Otherwise, when a pipe bursts, it can flood your house in no time. If the emergency is confined to a sink, tub, or toilet, however, you may not want to turn off your entire water supply. Therefore, most fixtures should have individual stop valves.

There are six types of plumbing.
  • Water supply plumbers
  • Sanitary plumbers
  • Gas fitting plumbers
  • Roofing plumbers
  • Drainage plumbers
  • Mechanical Services
Heating and cooling (HVAC), waste removal, and potable water delivery are among the most common uses for plumbing, but it is not limited to these applications. The plumber also installs the gas lines in the home because the materials and tools needed are similar to those traditionally used for plumbing. Gas supply lines can be black iron or flexible stainless steel or flexible copper pipe.
